Hi I need some help or some answers if these temps are an issue. I got the X4 965 FBGMBOX cpu. My motherboard MA790XT-UD4P and cpu cooler Artic Cooling 64 pro. I was running HWmonitor and my idle temp is 44C on my cpu is that bad? I used prime95 and it got to 63C by test3. HWmonitor lists my vcore at 1.41 if that helps no overclocking I'm stock.

What was your room temp, the cpu temps mean nothing if you dont have a ref. If you have a decent cooler it should idle about 12 to 14 degress abpve room temp if installed correctly. Ie if room is 20 C then cpu should be aroun 32 to 34, and peak aropun 30 or so above room temp when on load.

Yeah, your running way to hot. The max temp for your cpu is 62c and the max voltage is 1.4v wich is probaly what your problem is. Go into your bios and manuly set the cpu clock speed and voltage. Also do you have enough airflow though your case?

You've a C3 and can probably undervolt below 1.4 voltage @ 3.4ghz.

Okay so I got a temp of my room its 18c according to the thermometer.
and my Idle right now is 42c.

Okay well I'm gonna go ahead and swap my thermaltake shark case out and try my sisters Antec 900 see if that helps it go down if not I think im gonna go ahead and get Cooler master HAF 932 case and Cooler Master V8 cpu cooler those 2 would be good together right?

If your BIOS has the option in CPU VID or something CPU and not CPU-NB or CPU VDDA then undervolting can be done.

Okay good news I swapped my pc out into antec 900 case its system temp went to 28c idle and the cpu is at 36c idle under load the cpu got to 56c in prime so seems I'm good I did clock it down to 1.376. I'm still gonna go ahead and get the Cooler master HAF 932 case and the Cooler Master v8 cooler or a Noctua cooler.
