I would like to know how to overclock this CPU, and if i rather should get a new CPU?
If so, which one? And will this one fit my motherboard?
What u suggest?
Some specs:
Motherboard: Asus M2N68-LA (Narra2)
CPU type: DualCore AMD Athlon 64 X2, 2300 MHz (11.5 x 200) 4400+
My CPU physical pin set/package: 940 Pin uOPGA
CPU socket: 1 Socket AM2
4BG RAM, DDR2, SDRAM.
Motherboard chipset: nForce6150SE-430
I have got Radeon 5670 HD, with 1 GB RAM. That means my CPU scored the lowest points since all the rest is ok.
Win7 Ultimate ed. 32bit, shows I have scored those points on the following parts:
Calc per sec 4.9
Memory operations per sec 6.1
Desktrop performance for Win Aero 5.7
3D business and gaming graphics performance 6.6
Disk data transfer rate 5.9
As you see, I have 4.9 as lowest part.
And i can see when i play games that my CPU is the lowest part.
Im thinking to get 64bit CPU instead of 32 bit. WIll my motherboard and the system allow this?
Socket type: AM2
TDP: 89 watt
Motherboard supports the following processor upgrades:
Athlon 64 X2 with Dual Core technology up to 5600+ (up to 89 watt)
Athlon 64 less than 4000+
Sempron less than 4000+
yes you can go 64bit

Nice info. Thnx alot man. It seems like the motherboard supports only few. Those processors aren't that good? Should i maybe overclock? What do u suggest?
