Ok, so after not checking my temps on my CPU for a good while, I found out that when idling i'm at 50~C and when gaming I shoot up to over 80C.

I KNOW those aren't good for my CPU and outside of getting paste (which I am doing this weekend), I will post my settings in hopes that someone can help me.

I guess the question would be what are you using (program) that is telling you these temps? Also, what CPU do you have as well as your other hardware......case included would benefit us with helping you out. Did you manually configure any of the settings in your BIOS/UEFI or are they all set to auto? Are you using the stock cooler for your CPU?

As far as reading your temps are concerned, please read the thread below so that we are talking about the correct temp readings.....

Ok, the prog i'm using is AMD Overdrive.
My CPU is a AMD Phenom X4 9850
Case i'm not sure of, I got this about 1 1/2 years ago as a Tiger Direct Deal, it's only got 1 fan but I added a 120mm fan in the back to pull out air.
I am using the stock cooler and I did change a setting or two. I shut off Cool n Quite.

the 9850 runs hot by nature with the stock HSF

Uh.. not that hot. I still have my have my 9850 running in another rig with the stock heatsink and its core temp never gose past 65c.

He needs to get more airflow through his case!! More Fans man, More FANS..

then go get your self a real cpu. lol

And go after the cpu's heatsink/fan with a can of compressed air.
