Hi there AMD users, just got a quick question for all

Just ordered a Phenom 9600 processor, and my question is...
CAN it be clocked? This aint the Black edition.. :S Just the regular 9600..

Is it locked or can it still be overclocked?

It should be unlocked. I believe AMD offers a downloadable overclocking utility called Overdrive that is designed to Overclock the Phenoms. I've heard stories of people pushing the 9600 to speeds of 3.0GHz, though they had ridiculous cooling systems(i.e. Liquid Nitrogen, Dried Ice, etc.)

Yeah 3ghz might be some overkill.....
But atleast i get to play some with the setups
