If you completely reshuffle all the nomenclature, was it so hard to just use Brand <generation><cores><features><speed_mhz> (features would differentiate between cahace sizes and the like).

Athlon 44420: 4th generation core aka phenom, 4 cores, 2+2MB cache, 2.0GHz.
Opteron 44820: 4th generation core aka barcelona, 4 cores, 8 sockets, 2.0 Ghz.

You guys have nothing to do with your time, so instead of building functional chips you waste your time and our patience by playing with names and numbers. Boooo!
