Hello there,

Im having a weird problem with Asus M2N-SLI motherboard.

I have 2x2048M A-data DDR2 800MHz memorys and having huge problems to get it all recognized on my asus mobo.

It works just fine when using 64bit OS and A64 X2 5000+ BE cpu, but when i plug my phenom 9500, it shows just 3.75gigs of ram..

Is there anything to do about it, since as far as i know, the problem seems to be with memory controller of the cpu or something.

Thanks in advance,

Ville Ilonen

Edit: In fact if i put 5gigs of ram, it sees only 4.75gig. so it loses 256M of memory to somewhere.. any ideas ?

bios update ??? is were i would look.

i know phenoms are/were soposed to be backwards compatible. its seems they are. but the MB makers are either not putting out there updates for what ever reason and/or the users are not looking for them. <<< i would say both.
