Hi.
I wud like to ask a question. Is this normal?
When i surf on the internet then my CPU fan speed is 2500-3000rpm and temperature is 38-41. When im playing hard games like grand theft auto 4 crysis warhead left4dead etc then i have this: CPU fan speed: 5500-6000rpm and temperature is 49-57. Iv never seen/heard about this frikking speed of a cpu cooling fan. or its normal for quad core processors? what should i do if its not normal? what happens if i wount do it?
If you are using the stock heatsink, those speeds and temperatures are 100 percent normal. The fan speed is determined by a thermal diode on the fan and by your motherboard. Four cores on a processor produces a lot of heat and you either dissipate that heat with a huge heatsink or a fast moving fan. AMD chose the latter for their stock units.
