You may need to update your ASUS board bios before installing the 965.
Then, try booting with one or two sticks of memory installed.
I'm guessing that the board needs the most recent bios that supports the 965.

Welcome to the forum!

Well this is your lucky day!

A bunch of us just got the new 125w version and started our own OC'ing thread:

http://forums.amd.com/forum/me...3&enterthread=y

You may need slightly more Vcore for your 140w version, but based on my 4.0GHz settings, I suggest:

Vcore: 1.50-1.52v
NB@ 2800MHz (1.35v)
HT Link: 2400-2600MHz (stock voltage should be fine)

4.0GHz will be more difficult on 64-bit platform.

Thanks again, so far so good. But I am confirming what I just said, on my motherboard the HT Link will max out at 2200 MHz. Since you said leave it at stock volts I did at the 2200 MHz.

NB seems ok so far. Along with voltages, but I had to put it at 1.36v because it goes in intervals of .02v.

I just want to ask. Is this 100% or close to it? If I run some torture tests will it withhold?

And to let you know I am running 32bit-Vista Home Premium.

I just ran some torture tests and it gave me a BSOD. Should I post my volt configuration and stuff? It gave me an error within 5 seconds if you can help me improve this that would be great, thanks!!

So many questions, so little time...lol

First of all, you have to attach the pic codes from a photo shop like Image Shack or Photo Bucket.

Yes, please list all of your bios settings that you now have: CPU, NB, HT frequencies & voltages.

This should be it. This config dies after about 20 min and fails in less than 1 second on prime95 torture test.
