I have a motherboard (GA-M55SLI-S4 (rev. 2.0) with the bios version of F11j) which supports X4 955 but it does not say anything about BLACK EDITION in the CPU support page.
Sorry, but it clearly states that it DOES NOT support the 955.
You have an older (AM2) board, so it won't support AM2+ or AM3 CPU's.
You can get an AM2+ board for cheap these days, I suggest either the 785 or 790 chipset.

NemesisChild, thanks for your reply. Yes I've got the point. Just after the list title it says N/A. However the way they provide the support list is a bit strange. Why would you put the not supported CPU into CPU support list and distinguish them with 'N/A' than the others.
