I recently upgraded from a duel core to a AMD II Phenom X4 965, I installed the cpu and it booted correctly but it only shows 2 cores. I updated bios still nothing. Cleared CMOS and re flashed bios, still a no go. I went into the bios and unlocked cores and turned all four cores on, but still nothing. But since this is a actually quad core I shouldnt have to unlock any cores. Cool and Quiet in bios is disabled. CPU-Z is showing 2 core but ASUS Turbo is showing a setting where I can adjust speed of 4 cores under advanced settings. Any ideas? Thanks all. Also in msconfig under advanced i think it is, only showing 2 cores also... Is there a program that will show whether you have faulty cpu cores? Thanks everybody...

Got it fixed, went into msconfig - boot - advanced - and untick number of processors. That will open all cores.
