Everything was going smooth, with my Asus / AMD setup,
used, Asus EVO Turbo, to overclock, to a gentle 3.7 Ghz, with 928 Mhz (1333) Kingston memory.

25 Celsius on the case, and 32 Celsius on CPU...

Now, just today, a clinch, with a application, had to restart,
then got the bios error message about cpu speed or something,

ok, called Asus, set to reset bios, did that, and reboot.
went into bios, and set all back to auto, and adjusted memory to 1333, and cpu back to 3.2 Ghz.. hit F10 to save AND . . . . . . . Power cut out for a second,
then computer reboot, and Old Setting still are showing...

Go into evo turbo desktop app, set all back to default 3.2 200 mhz speed,..etc
restart computer.... NOPE. back into the bios, set all to default, set memory back to 1333, all back to auto... hit F10, same thing... power cut out for a second,
and reboot just hangs... had to hard shut off.

Asus is telling me, that the memory controller, on the Cpu, is going.
Thought I would ask the Gurus on this board, what they think?
or if there where some tests I can do?

The system is not even 9 months old...

Any help would be appreciated.

Well I just got a new motherboard from Asus, M4A89GTD Pro, and after the second startup, the BIOS change with a overclocking speed 3.7Ghz and 978 Mhz for memory,
I go back into the bios and reset to default, and restarted, bios tells me the overclocking ( which is NOT overclocking ) failed...

its like the CPU is Stuck in overclocking MODE, and telling the bios to make the changes.,,
'
So, does that mean the CPU is faulty since its doing the same thing as with the previous motherboard..
will NOT reset to default speed.

ANY - One !
thanks

Update the bios, then completely clear the CMOS by removing the battery for 20-30 minutes.
