Was putting together my first build and i touched the thermal paste on the heat sink by accident. Since i got a good bit on my finger i decided it would likely be best to get more, and the manual says to keep my warranty good i should 'consult the amd thermal cooling guideline' for my product. I seem to be unable to find this list and would like to know what thermal pastes i can get without voiding my warranty.

Welcome to the forum!

You can basically use an quality thermal paste that you desire.
How is AMD to know which TIM is or was being used?
Myself, I use OCZ Freeze, others use Arctic Silver 5, and MX-2.

I also use OCZ Freeze. Very good and no cure time.

I've used Tuniq and MX-4 with good results from both, but honestly it probably makes little difference on the brand. However, I do look for brands that do not conduct electricity (no metals in their composition) and don't require a lot of time for curing.

Here's an article comparing many different brands.

They even included pink lipstick in the comparison. If you ever did need to send the CPU back for warranty though, pink lipstick residue might be a little difficult to explain.
