I am not going to mention my specific processor because I want this to be help full to all people in my situation. This post is for the person with a AM3 processor and a AM3+ motherboard that would like to run the ram at the highest speed possible, either with two or four sticks of memory in there system.
Motherboards are simply a conduit for the cpu to which now houses the memory controller, thus controls the memory. There were a few revisions of AM3 processors that handled Memory slightly differently than others. I would like to know what speed/ number of modules <insert your revision/version/model of AM3 socket cpu here> will the cpu run ram at. This would really help me and probably a few others out.
