I was playing star wars old republic online game and it crashed on me - graphics went glitchy and bluescreen appeared..i didn't think to make note of what it said
i restarted windows 7 and wasn't in the game but that too started having graphic issues, big squares pixels and thin black lines on screen then plain blue screen.
now when i start up PC I can't get into windows 7 on normal mode with graphics card enabled. Only way to access in normal mode now is to go into safe mode and turn off graphics card otherwise just plain blue or black screen on start up of windows.
I tried uninstalling and downloading new driver and the CCC again but still happens.
tried recovery and roll back to previous state, same again.
luckily my pc is new with nothing of importance on it so i reinstalled windows 7 (on advice of another forum, wish i hadn't of followed advice!)...same problem though.
amd phenom II x4 955 processor 3.20ghz
memory 8gb
windows 7 64bit
is my card unfixable now??...it looks alright. I've unslotted and put back in.
Never heard of a AMD 9760 card before, do you mean a 6970?
When you start seeing big squares and black lines usaly means that the gpu is done, burn't, died and re-installing windows won't fix it.
I would RMA the card or if you pc is a pre-built like a HP or Dell then contact them.
