This week we recieved new Phenom processors for tests. So the problem is that they work at 1.1 Ghz (5.5 x 200 = 1.100) and 1.16 Ghz (5.8 x 200 = 1.160). It was shown by CPU-Z. Everest Ultimate shows that FSB is 400Mhz and multiplyer normal. I ofcourse understand that CPU`s are new and this CPU-Z and Everest spec`s could be temporarely problem, but when we run tests we get results more than twice lower than our coleages from ixbt.com and other IT news cites.
We use ASUS M2N-SLIDeluxe mother board with latest BIOS, OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 CL 3 FlexXLC Edition, ASUS 8800GTX, PSU OCZ 700Wat, HDD HD160JJ. We have runed tests on Windows XP and VISTA with same result. 3DMark06 1.1.0 (with "hot fix") CPU scores 1600. PCMark 2005 CPU-3242, RAM-2551, Graphics-10211, HDD-5256

Hello UndaMors, I bought a phenom 9600 last week and when I installed it on my GA-MA790FX-DQ6 I got the same problem, even if I was changing the multiplier in AMD overdrive, on the next boot the 5.8 multiplier was back...i Just reinstalled my bios and everything is fine now. I tryed to update my bios but it wasnt working so I reinstalled the original.

Everything is ok, my phenom is OC to 2.45ghz and is very stable, cant get higher tho

I hope this can help you.

Same problem...
CPU : Phenom 9500
MoBo: M2N SLI Deluxe (1302)
RAM: 4x1GB DDR2 PC6400 (XMS2)

Seems like all system & performance testing software gone crazy:
. CPU-z 1.42
? CPU: 1.1 GHz (200x5.5)
? RAM: n/a
. Everest Ultimate Edition:
? CPU: 2.2(400x5.5)
? RAM: DDR2-1600(800MHz)

Performance tests shows really low results.
I've got result over 1 minute in SuperPi (1M)!!!!!
Same happens with memory performance(~30-40% decrease with same frequency and timings).

May this be a motherboard problem? Do we need to buy a new mobo w/HT3 support?

Well, I guess that they would delete your messages if you compared the Phenom to the old Cyrix CPUs. STAY ON TOPIC!

1. BIOS Settings -> AMD Cool'n'Quiet = Enabled
2. Control Panel -> Power Mgmt -> High Performance

Vista Users: Don't even try install AMD CPU Driver!!!

That's it.
