Hello everybody, I apologize first and foremost, as it is not English and I used the machine translator for Google to do so.
A week ago, and I purchased an AMD Phenom 9500, along with a motherboard Gigabite GA-MA790FX-DQ6 with 2 memory modules Kingston HyperX 1GB DDR2 PC2-6400 and a graphic card ATI Radeon HD3970 with 512Mb.
To make better use processor that I purchased, I decided to install MS Windows Vista Ultimate x64 bit edition.
The problems start nothing but try to install the operating system. Such a system, its installation process begins by showing a screen where it chooses the language and keyboard settings. I tried to install this system with the same drive on other computers (less powerful and older, with the 64-bit processors, AMD, as Intel), all of which takes approximately one minute to appear that screen, while in the Phenom, only to reach this point of installation, it takes just under 10 minutes to complete the installation and need about 4 hours to complete its installation.
Once installed the system, it was noted that did not work very well at all, which is under once installed disk drivers, both of the motherboard as the chart. But the performance that I have got is very similar to that obtained with an HP notebook with Intel 5600 and 1 Gb memory. Yet another team with AMD 6000 + and 2Gb memory there is a pretty big difference in performance with respect to the Phenom.
Where can be the problem, because even if the system in its assessment of experience windows sight gives me a score of 5.2, (due to disk), I see more slow and cumbersome than in the AMD 6000 + where such team got a score of 4.7.
I'd guesstimate that it's a bios issue; has the bios been updated to allow for optimal Phenom use?
