Hm... that's one difficult question to answer. As probably everyone has his own idea of what's the "best".
Personally, I'd say M3N-HT Deluxe/Mempipe:

Depends a bit on what you intend to use it for. Gaming, 2D/3D art, video?

I have the Phenom 9500 (2.2) which I was able to OC to 2.5 stable on a M2N SLI Deluxe. However, I wanted to take full advantage of the Phenom, specifically the Hyper Transport 3.0, 1066 RAM and PCI Express 2.0 when i upgrade my video cards and memory.

To begin my upgrade, i bought the M3N HT Deluxe to run my Phenom and to take advanage of the HT 3.0 (I was not sure how much of a CPU performance I would get).

I changed my motherboard and used the same components I had with the M2N SLI because I can't afford a total upgrade at once.

So My system was looked like this.

Phenom 9500
M3N HT Deluxe
3 gigs OCZ 6400
8800 GTS (G80) 640mb in SLI

I realized that I couldn't take advantage of 1066 ram speed and the PCI Express 2.0. However, I thought the Hypertransport 3.0 would help my CPU score on 3DMark06. Well, my CPU score was slightly lower with the new board. Because the M3N HT didn't OC the phenom as well as the m2N SLi deluxe(not thats its the boards fault, its the B2 stepping CPU), plus I am not an experience OC'er and there are much more overclocking setting in the M3N HT than the M2N SLI.

I oc the cpu on the M2N SLI board to 2.5 stable. I was only able to get the CPU to 2.4 on the M3N HT http://valid.x86-secret.com/sh...c.php?id=362002

resulting in the following scores on 3DMark 06

3DMark06 score with M2N SLI Deluxe (cpu 2.5) was 13500
3DMark06 Score with M3N HT (cpu 2.4)was 13300

Even if I had the cpu clocked at 2.5 on the new board, Im not sure it would of been a hugh difference. But im not a good overclocker or that knowlegdable with settings, tweaks etc.... so I'm sure someone well give me some advice.

On another note, with one video card I scored 12200 in 3Dmark06 (with M3N HT), so I only gained 1000 marks in SLI.

-------------------------
M3N HT Deluxe
Phenom X4 940, watercooled
4GIG OCZ 1066, SLI ready
BFG GTX 260 (216) in SLI
Antec 850 Watt
Case Coolermaster HAF
Gaming @ 1680x1050

Well, yes, Silentscooter, that often happens with new technology. It's a bit of a shame, but it happens. Manufacturers rush to release new technologies, before those are 100% tested and optimized.

So, I guess most of your problems come from the fact that those M3N motherboards are relatively new and poorly optimized. It sometimes takes several BIOS versions and driver updates, before you begin seeing a real improvement. There's a very similar tendency with video cards too.

I suppose we'll have to wait some more time for everything to be better supported and optimized. So let's keep downloading patches, updates and BIOS versions and hope.
