My system information summery show that my system type is a X86-based PC.
Is that because Phenom 9500 is a 32 bit processor or that windows vista premium is a 32 bit operating system?

9500 is a 64 bit CPU and will run XP and vista X64 just fine.

Your processor is an x86 CPU with 64 Bit extension. This is also called x86-64.
