I'm running a Gateway MX6421 with a AMD Turion 64 Mobile Technology ML-32.
I recently formatted my hard drive and re-installed Windows XP Media Center 2005. All is well except for a couple of devices.
These are the SM Bus Controller and the Mass Storage Controller.
It appears they didn't install.
Does anyone know what drivers i need for these devices and where i could download them?

check the chipset model from gateway (usually n-force 610-630)

MX6421 specifications:
Chipset: ATItm Radeon® Xpress 200M Chipset

Those drivers should be included with the chipset driver package from Gateway. There should have been an option to install them during the chipset driver installation procedure. Perhaps you just blew past it?

The only drivers I can find that Gateway offers for my computer are:

I didn't see a chipset driver package. I downloaded and re-installed the driver listed above. No change to the S M bus Controller and the Mass Storage Controller.
The computer seems to be working okay. Do I need hese devices installed?

First of all Don't buy a F**King Gateway, I have been a IT tech for over 15 years and their driver downloads are poor at BEST. I searched for a day and found the driver that worked for Mass storage. It is a TI product and the File is D00341-001-001 search on the Gateway site.
