Hi, My notebook has Athlon64x2 ql-60 1.9ghz
I'm wondering about it's temp
Idle 35-40 Celsius
Load 50-60 Celsius Are these ok?
P.s temps recorded with coretemp with chillmat on
I've read sometime there is an offset needed for coretemp is this relative to my processor or not
Thanks for your help.
Hopefully they're in range

Coretemp measures the temperature per core and although it's an indication, that's not what you should be looking at. You need the CPU temperature, reported by Everest, for example.
If they are not that different from those you reported, I'd say they're ok for a laptop.

I never saw AMD publishing that kind of info for mobile processors on their site. However, PackardBell states it's 100°C.

As to Everest, I don't know whether it's the most accurate, but it's quite accurate. You may compare with some other softwares, to make sure it reports right. It's never a bad thing to double-check.

I found a temperature stat here, but I'm not sure... if I read it right it looks like 100 degrees C?? http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/...-%20AMQL60DAM22GG.html
Hope this helps.

I think you will get better temperature drops by replacing the default factory thermal paste.
When I open up my Laptop I found thermal pads on the GPU and silicon based thermal paste on the CPU
Replaced it with AS 5 temperature drops by almost 10 degrees on average immediately.
I haven't even account for the "set in" required by AS 5
