Hi there!
I have an vista ultimate 32bit os installed on my Asus f3tc AP0074 (Turion64 MK-38) and only one core is running (Win XP useing 2 cores). The bios is updated and all other drivers too and installed Dual Core Optimizer.
Plus I installed the EVEREST Ultimate Edition and it shows only one cpu and core too, and in the process viewer if I want to switch at the cpu-history tab to show seperate tabs for each of the cores it's grayed out.
I found a solution on the net but didn't helped.
This is it:
"Go to start>run>msconfig
Boot Tab
Advanced Button
The startup number of processors was set to 1 and could not be changed
Unchecked the number of processors checkbox
Check Detect HAL box
Click Apply and Reboot
After reboot the number of detected cores were 2
Unchecked detect HAL and selected 2 as number of processors.
Checked make all boot settings permanent under Boot tab.
Reboot
Now BIOS also reports 2 cores instead of previous 1."
Should I try a 64bit vista?
Or somebody have any other solution?
Thanks for your help.
