Just wondering about this computer because it says it is a 880G chipset but I thought they were not going to be around until 2010?

Not bad for a PC just not much into games since going back into the Army and doing the FPS for real.

I do play a game that often but it is uselly Wing Commander games Mechwarrior games , Mechcommander games, Masters of Orion 2, Brother in Arms, and company of heroes probally the most this will be used on the graphics end.

Specs below from the HP website
Bought it from Bestbuy http://www.bestbuy.com/site/HP...3526907&skuId=9554671

Has a $50.00 mail in rebate and I hate Black Friday sales so bought it now even though there might be something better down on some crazy price at XYZ store.

paid the same price for the one in my sig.

Asus K50AB-X2A, has the 4570 HD dedicated 512 mb card in it and the Turion x2 2.2 Ghz CPU. 4 Gig DDR 2 800.

Not on sale any more, but price at the time was crazy nice.

Grats on the new laptop man, I am sure she will treat you well.

Hows the battery life on yours out of curiosity sake?

Or I take it you dont have it yet and your just researching it?

880g is a typo, its a 780g chipset.

It is probally then a 785g chipset.

Just picked it up tonight.

Going to try it out about a bit soon.

They tried to get me to buy the 6600 because it has DDR3 ram but for what I want it to do it it is not what I needed. Also a bit bigger and weighed 1.5 pounds more. I know it is just a pound and a little more but it takes up weight in the bag.

I would have b ought that but also well I am using the bestbuy credit card to do the 18 months no intrest.

Have not used the battery yet but I plan too soon.

My brother just sent me a 939 duel core I need to put togetter but I am lazy and might just get rid of it and keep my ATI 4830 and maybe get a second one.

I did not think the 880g was out? According to the charts floating in cyber world it says 880g is comming in March 2010.

well I'm not really sure. You're right, there seem to be no other motherboards being out yet, but still, the 880g was suppossed to be out around now, mabye it's been delayed later, but some companies might have had the opportunity to get in touch with it earlier.
