Ok... first off I'm new to this forums, and I'm a total newbie, so please be kind.
I just bought a new HP Pavilion dv6 2112sa for general computing, and some gaming, here are some specs.
AMD Turion II Dual-Core Mobile Processor M520
. 2.3 GHz, Level 2 cache 1 MB
AMD M880G chipset
ATI Radeon HD 4200 Intergrated Graphics, up to 2046 MB total available graphics memory
4 GB DDR2 (2 x 2048 MB)
Windows® 7 Home Premium (64-bit)
From what I've read so far, the Radeon HD 4200 isn't getting alot of love out there amongst gamers, and since overclocking the GPU isn't possible, I think I'll go the ATI Crossfire route to boost preformance. However I'm having trouble finding out which graphics cards are compatible with the AMD M880G chipset W/ ATI Radeon 4200 IGP. From what I've read the M880G chipset wasn't even scheduled to be released untill this May, so I'm having no luck finding any info. on it. I can't even find out if there is a MXM II slot available on M88G board. AMD has very little info. on their site, saying only that it is their "chipset of the future for mainstream mobile aplications", so any further info. would be appreciated.
Cheers
