Recently to play "Rage" I installed ATI Preview 2 drivers. After that Photoshop stopped using OpenGL, so I used Driver Sweeper and went back to usual drivers, but I started to see renders like these:
one two three
I thought that I really messed up something and decided to reinstall Windows, but nothing changed.
Software and games now run slower than before.
Windows Media Player plays movies with freezes and picture and subtitles there are also anti-aliased. In VLC if I change video output to DirectDraw or default it also gives same result. UI elements in fullscreen online videos also have this effect.
I posted this on HP forums, they suggested me to try different drivers, but I made a clean install and have my doubts about their solution. Right now I'm downloading latest drivers and Preview 3 drivers. Of course I'll give it a try, but I would like to know if it could be the Preview 2 drivers or something else that could put some settings into the BIOS. And how can I fix it? Because any game any local video runs really slow and with freezes.
The OS is Windows 7 x64.
And I have switchable graphics on my laptop.
UPDATE: Installed latest stable drivers - no effect. Installed Preview 3 drivers, video playback came back to normal. HP Support Assistand (on screenshot 3) looks OK too. But games still all "anti-aliased". Photoshop stopped using OpenGL. And when I try to launch SketchUp or Blender or Kerkythea renderer I get an error "driver has stopped working and recovered" and the software doesn't launch.
And now Thunderbird looks like
this.
So is my only option now to wait for the stable new drivers release?
