So I updated my Radeon 6490m with Windows Update because there was an update available. After update and a restart, graphics card was missing under device manager. I tried to download the driver from amd.com with auto detect, but it was unable to install. So now, its running the default Intel graphics card. Any ideas how to get it back? Catalyst Control Center does not open either. I attached screen shots of all the errors below. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

hi im having the same problem but with a differente messege
when i installed the update 12.6 that released today my graphic card desapeared!!!
it shows a messege sayig "No amd card installed or it is not working proprely"
and then i opened the dxdiag and it sayd i have no graphic card!
I need to solve this becaus I work with this!!
can someone help me: was it a problem with this update::

Try choosing a restore point back to a time before you ran the windows update and see if you can get it back that way. If that is successful, don't let windows update....update your hardware drivers anymore. If it is not successful you may have to restore your laptop back to how it was when you first got it.
