This is a gorgeous machine. I follow Voodoo products, as I'm using one of their tricked-out laptops right now (3400+ Clawhammer inside). If I'm not wrong, they are the first to put the fx-57 into a laptop. OR, you can get one of the dual-core Athlon 64s. They've been using this chassis for a while, first with what they called the m:870 which was basically an m:860 with a 17-inch screen. Oh, and 1900x1200 TFT WUXGA native resolution. I don't know whether to be sick, dazzled, or just melt into a pile of jelly upon just thinking about how powerful this laptop will be.
You can get RAID, 2 hard drives, 2 optical drives (by Pioneer: Read Support: 24X CD, 8X DVD. Write Speed: 24X CD, 8X DVD+R, 8X DVD-R, 2.4X DVD+R DL. ReWrite Speed: 16X CD-RW, 4X DVD+RW, 4X DVD-RW. Supported Media: CD-RCD-RWDVD-RDVD+RDVD+RWDVD-RAMDVD+R DL (Double Layer)DVD-RW.)
You can get up to 2gb DDR400LL by Crucial.
The wireless card's receiver/transmitter surrounds the screen for more reception.
One problem. Yup, you guess it. Configured as I would like it, it costs a mere $5922.44 (U.S.).
Excuse me while I go and check myself into a mental hospital so they treat me before I go out and buy this machine.
