I reasontly replaced my xp-m 2400 for a xp-m 2800+ in my labtop. However, with the new processor, powernow doesn't work, while it did work with the old processor.

I've checked de driver, edited the register en and set the powermanagement to portable. Nothing helps. Sinds the new processor, the fan is blowing more often. which can be irritating in quite rooms.

I searched on the internet and found little about this topic, only to install the drivers, but should already be installed on servicepack 2. I also checked if the processor uses the right driver, and it does.

Can someone help me?


PS I didn't reinstall windows because i didn't saw any use of that.
