OK, this is for anybody having problems with their AMD 64 processor running at only around 800mhz. First, go to the driver download section of this website and download the latest driver for AMD 64 MOBILE processors. Then go to www.cpuid.com and download the cpu-z utility that will monitor your cpu speed. WINDOWS XP PRO AND HOME WILL SHOW THE INCORRECT CPU SPEED!!!!!!!!! This is why you need the cpu-z utility. Now, when you run the laptop power profile, your speeds will still run around 800mhz, but when you switch to Home/desktop power profile the speeds will go up to 1.99 mhz, right where they should be. Hope this helps all of you with this problem as it did for me.

Thank you RRife.

I’m going to check that.

I really never notice this in my computer.

It is always showing speeds between 350 MHz and 797MHz, never up.

My processor speed should be 1.80GHz.
