I am just getting started in the world of AMD upgrades and modifications, and need some help. I have an IBM Thinkpad Type 2611 Model 1412. It has a AMD K6-2/333 processor attached to a AMD K6-2 CPU board (#98451-SB). This CPU board also has "AMD BIMINI" printed on it. This CPU board is in turn plugged into the motherboard. I need to know if the AMD K6-2/333 Processor will simply unplug from the CPU board, and if I can simply plug in the AMD K6-2/475. I would be grateful for any help at all here.

Note: IBM has no record of ever producing this model (2611-1412), nor a model with these CPU specifications. Could it be that someone has already modified this laptop? The IBM Type/Model/Serial number sticker on the bottom case appears to be undisturbed in it's original factory condition. It clearly states "2611-1412". ?
