(Compaq Presario 900us) Been looking arround the Internet and it looks like I can go up to a amd laptop processor like a amd 2500 has anyone done this ? My system has a amd xp 1500

I've got the same notebook. I upgraded to the Barton 2600+ mobile. PowerNow! doesn't work anymore, but I just use Crystal CPUID to manually set the multipliers and voltages based on CPU load. In my opinion, it's better than PowerNow! I can get it running stable at 1.2GHz with .925V. Keeps the temp around 34-35C.

Thanks for all your feedbacks I have installed the 2500xpm processer taking all the steps that you all have mention right now the processor is running 40c and what a fast notebook!!!
