I have partitioned my drive so that I may boot multiple OSs. I have successfully load XP Pro on the first. On the second I have been trying to put 2000 Advance Server, the OS loads ok but when I load drivers to use minor things like the ethernet port I begin to get application/driver errors. The order in which I load drivers off of the restore cd are/is 1) Chipset 2)video 3) LAN, at which point I begin to get errors. Has anyone successfully loaded 2000 AS on the 6805? or have an idea which drivers to use?
On a second note I have tried loading XP 64 with mixed results. Does anyone who has remember the steps that they performed & which drivers they used?
Why the [content edited] are you trying to put windows 2000 advanced server on a laptop. It isnt designed to run on laptops! You might get away with the bog standard version like i use but not with AS.
2000 Server expects a desktop processor, really needs SCSI and a high quality NIC not all the poxy intergrated rubbish on a laptop. If you want a server build a proper standalone.
Windows 2000 Server will also object greatly to having to be partioned with other OSes.

Thank you for your input, but A) Purpose? to do demos in the field Using Partition Magic, the OS does not know of any other partition C) W2K runs on plenty of other garbage systems, I doubt it has the AI to know the diff between a laptop and a desktop. If this were a production system I would use SCSI and XEONs. D) the diff between W2K server and W2K AS is merely in the capabilities, the drivers are the same (also the same as XP Home & Pro and probably 2003 server)
