Notebook system
Athlon 64 3000+
1 Gb memory (2700)
128 mb 9600 ATI Radeon

I purchased a notebook the other day with the above specs. I have read that the clock speed should be 2ghz, but my notebook is reporting a clock speed of 1800 mhz, i have used a couple of cpu id utilities.

Moved to mobile-section

1.80GHz is the correct clockspeed for a mobile Athlon 64 3000+.
Unlike its desktop-counterpart, the mobile A64 3000+ is clocked at 1.8GHz, but has a 1MB L2-cache whereas the desktop A64 3000+ is clocked at 2.0GGHz and has only 512KB of L2-cache.

You can find all Athlon 64/Athlon 64 FX specs (including mobile parts)here' ">
