I'd like to know if it's normal that, as settings, I found these on my Compaq Presario 2100 :
FSB = 133 Mhz
Multiplier = 4
Which would mean my laptop runs at 532 Mhz !! (for an Athlon XP 1800+ proc !!

Is there any reason for that ?? (heating ?...)
Or can I put these settings like on my Desktop (also a 1800+) :
FSB : 133 Mhz
Multiplier : 11.5
(which does 1.5 Ghz !

not sure about the multiplier thing but my opinion about compaqell is to cmpaq as amd is to intel.
ive seen more compaqs and hps(hp=Celeron 266MHz with no l2 cache ) crash than any thing else
