Hi folks,

I just bought a ThinkPad T400 for college and it came with Vista. Anyway, I hate Vista so I reinstalled XP onto the computer. There's just one problem, it seems that Lenovo forgot to put up the correct driver for my graphics card... and I've talked to them on the phone several times and they say I'll have to wait for them to "develop" an XP driver.

Well, funny thing is that they don't even have the correct driver for Vista so I'm wondering how the heck there was a driver for my ATI mobility radeon 3470 on the computer beforehand.... PLEASE, can someone help me to find the correct driver for my machine? I'm so lost.

From what I know, graphic driver from amd website was only suit for desktop but not laptop. So laptop graphic driver you have to download from your laptop dealer.
If u can't find u can't try go to other dealer website look for that particular laptop which have the same graphic cards as yours and download from them. By right it should be solve your problem.

having the same graphic cards as yours then you go to download the installation file from asus website according to the model of the laptop.

it's always a pita when mfr's dont provide backwards compatibility.. it seems though from your phone conversation, if lenova has to develop one, then they may have something going on with their config that doesn't allow a standard driver to be used. you never know though, could be they just haven't added it or that was just an easy answer the phone rep could can answer as to why it's not there...
