Power Consumption should be lower since it has 5 P-States for more throttle control.

You owe me an apology for this:
I got the info regarding the processor from a owner of the new Turion II processor:
5 P-STATES

Bro , my Turion x2 runs the SAME vcore in every way.

I fail to see your point here?

Proof

Where you mistakenly thinking the Turion II x2 used less volts there for less power ?

It runs little cooler and looks to be slightly more efficient yes but its power consumption is near identical.

Looks you you don't understand P-State
Look at the K10STAT screen shot there is P0, P1 ... all the way to P4 .
For each PX there is a lower voltage for each stepping to reduce the amount of voltage required think of it as gear switching to save power.
Undervolting is like customising the gears to use the minimal fuel for each gear.
For the Turion RM/ZM there is only 3 such "gears" for the new Turion II there are 5 such "gear" so CPU will not waste as much energy when CPU is not utilising 100%.
Please go and learn about undervolting AMD Processor first.
I SWEAR YOU WILL NOT SPOIL PROCESSORS BY UNDERVOLTING
Following my sig to download the undervolting tool and instructions you can swear at me later.

Hi!
I own a Dell Vostro 1310 C2D 2.0 notebook and in next week I travel to Toronto-CA and I like to buy a new notebook, i seen a hp dv6-2064(HP Pavilion 15.6" AMD Turion II Ultra Dual Core M640 2.6GHz Laptop (DV6-2064CA)), but I stayed confused for processor performance, and of power of the graphic card (ATI Mobility Radeon HD4650 M96).
I wonder if this notebook is good and the processor heat, remembering that I live in Brazil.

Thanks!!!
