What is the difference between the Sempron Mobile processor and the new Turion mobile processor which should I order with my new HP laptop?

How about some specs or comments /excl.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='excl.gif' />

Sempron is fast but 32bit
Turion is slower but 64bit

Wait, did you just call the Turion slower?!? The fact that it is 64 bit alone gives it, in theory, twice the computing power. Add to that a better core and larger fsb and there is no contest. The performance difference between the turion and sempron will be very noticable. I wouldn't even put the two chips in the same class. You should know that the Ghz has much less effect on cpu speed than most people think. AMD chips can be even better than their intel counterparts despite the fact that the intel chips are "faster" because, in reality, the speed of a cpu is based on many different factors.
