my laptop is using amd turion 64 X2 TL-50. when i use the amd power monitor. i notice that whenever there is activity going, both cores' speed will shot up to max speed eventhough the other core is low on activity, aren't one of the core is max speed while the other core is lower in its speed?

Sorry if my explanation is sort of bad.

Unfortunately, currently available Dual-core parts do not have the ability to clock each core independently.
Hence, if CPU-utilization demands a higher P-State, clockspeed and voltage will be increased on both cores, even though only one core may be fully (or partially) loaded.

Future revisions will include support for independent core clocks as well as independent power planes for cores and on-die memory-controller which will provide more flexibility and power-efficiency...
