When I try to install the latest driver for my Mobile Sempron 3300+, it says that I already have this driver and I should first uninstall it. But my current driver is certainly older and uninstalling it doesn't change anything. Does anyone know a solution?

P.S. I'm trying updating the driver because there is a funny issue in EA Sports games (FIFA, NHL, etc.) - when the processor runs in the normal mode (2000 mHz), all the in-game action is two or even three times faster. So I have to switch to the silent mode (~812 mHz) where the game speed is normal. However, I would be glad to use full potential of my processor...

If you go into the registry via regedit:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AMD\CPU

Backup that key and delete it, then go ahead and try installing the newer driver.

As far as the games, not sure about that issue.

It seems to also happen on intel systems aswell so a driver update might not fix the problem.

It doesn't work for me even after I del the reg key
When I start the setup it hangs on installing driver and when I cancel it it hangs on Canceling the driver install.
