Just purchased a made to order HP laptop with the ML-40 chip which was an upgrade from the ML-32 stock version... The ML-32 speed was advertised at 1.8 and the ML-40 at 2.2..The laptop's "My Computer" specs show the ML-40 at 1.58..therein lies the confusion (in my head) Can someone out there be kind enough to educate me on this discrepancy? TIA!

Don't use Windows to determine you CPU speed...

You can use the AMD utilities from their site, or go here for CPU-Z which will tell you your CPU speed in real time and a host of other info about your system...
