Initially, the laptop used to turn off all of a sudden.
Consulted with the IT folks at work, they mentioned it is the battery stupid.
So, I went ahead and removed the battery and the computer worked fine .... but only for sometime.
Then, the computer turned on, stayed on for about 10 minutes and then switched off by itself.
Over time, in the last couple of days, the computer turns on and stays on only for a minute or so before it switches off.
Wondering if the power supply card has gone bad.
I do not see any card where I insert the pin plug in the back of the computer.
Any advice will be appreciated.

Sounds like something is overheating...is the CPU getting adequate ventilation?

Can you hear your fans run when it starts up [should run on high for a few seconds] ?
