Hi. I am using DDR400 ram in my Compaq V2000Z. I verified that it was running at 200 MHz with CPUZ 1.31 after installation. Recently, I downloaded the 1.35 version. Interestingly, the ram speed appears to be throttling with CPU speed: if the CPU goes to 1600 MHz, ram goes to 200, with a divider of 8; if the CPU is resting at 800, ram goes down to 159, with a divider of 5.
Have anyone seen the same thing?

Hi,

Yeah, it is to do so when throttled down to 800Mhz... don't worry. The only way to keep the memory speed high, is to go into the power control panel and set the default power setting to "always on" or desktop... if using Vista, set it to performance.

Bye
