My brand new ACER Aspire 5003 with a turion 64 ML-32 processor keeps overing hrating and shuts down. I bought a cooling pad but that is only marginally effective. Any suggestions? I am running only MS software..no games. This has cost me a lot of work and frustration!!!

Well, unless you want to tear into it...

Take it back...sound like a mfg. defect...heatpipe not properly mounted, fan not running properly, etc...
