I noticed other topics about this Proccessor and they all say that it runs alot faster than what it shows on mine. Mines shows it runs at an avr rate of 797 Mhz.
Is this correct or do I need to change something.
Thanks in advance

Run CPU-Z and post its registers dump or screen shots from the tabs of the utility here.

If it's a laptop, it is normal speed when idling(6x133~800MHz). If PowerNow! is correctly set the speed should increase to 16x133~2133MHz under full load.

If you run a virus scan or some other program which makes the processor work a bit and have the cpu-z window open you should see the multiplier changing and with it the cpu speed.

Ah it's a socket 754. It shouldn't really be called an xp-m in that case. So it's running at 4x200 instead of 8x200.

If it does not throttle up to 1600MHz as wanted, you can try to use RMClock.

If you want it to go 1.6GHz all times, set the Profile in RMClock "Maximal performance", although usually "Performance on demand" suffices for average usage.

Actually they did make a different family XP-M based on 754...

I know, weird stuff!!
