I have a Dell Dimension XPS T700r, which has a original Intel Pentium III 700mhz processor. Is it possible to upgrade the computer to a faster AMD processor for a reasonable price. Thanks in advance

an AMD CPU will not go into your motherboard. I suspect the power supply unit in there would be unsuitable for such an upgrade too. So basically, not really.

In order to install an AMD to your computer you have to change the motherboard to an AMD base. Like Socket A for example.

Differnt board can only support differnt processor.

Intel boards can only support Intel processor.

Also, Dell uses proprietary PSU's which can't be used on a normal ATX motherboard.
