Ok So I have a 1.4 Thunderbird . And I checked the temp last night and it was 169F. That's way to high.So I shut it off and now I'm looking for a new CPU fan.

My question is:
what kind of cpu fan does a 1.4 Thunderbird take. Is it the same kind of fan being used for the XP CPU's?

I know the 1.4 Thunderbird has always been the hottest. Anyone know what the best cpu fan would be?

You're right about that 1.4 Thunderbird... it has always been the hottest!

Any Socket 'A' CPU cooler that will fit on your mobo will work. It's only the space around your CPU socket that will limit the size of HS/F that you can put on there.
Try to get one that at least has a 'copper core' if not solid copper.

You'll also want to use a good quality Thermal Interface Material (TIM) like Arctic Silver V.
