I have a ASUS A7A266 motherboard. According to ASUS its good for 1.2ghz+ 500Mhz processors. FSB for the motherboard is 266/200MHz. The Chip set is ALi® M1647 266MHz FSB chipset with ALi® 1535D+ South Bridge. I have an AMD Athlon 1.4 ghz processor at the moment and need a faster CPU. Is it possible to upgrade and if so what would be the best?

I guess that I should add that I have a NVIDIA Geforce FX 5200 and 512MB RAM...I'm using my computer for games and the only thing holding me back now is processor speed.

I can see on Price Watch they have some AMD XP 2400+ 2.0ghz processors for 266mhz FSB would that work?
