Hey not to "rain on your parade", but I think a phone call to dell would probably be much more usefull...

Anyway here's some system specs for your machine
http://support.dell.com/suppor...syst...ecs.htm#1101572' ">http://support.dell.com/suppor...4550/specs.htm#1101572

Looks like you can stuff 533MHz bus P4's into it as long as you use the proper ram...

Intel® Pentium® 4 microprocessor that runs at 1.80, 1.90, 2.0, or 2.20 GHz internally and 400 MHz externally; or 2.26, 2.4, 2.53, 2.66, 2.8, or 3.06 GHz internally and 533 MHz externally

Get another 256 Mb of ram...

Keep in mind that it will get pricey for the faster P4's...

Hope thats what you were looking for..

OR

Sell the tower to someone, keep your peripherals and build an AMD tower...

Later

MD

Physics? Ha! This is clearly magic and devilry at work. Prepare firewood! We have witches to burn!
