I have spent 40 minutes bouncing around the AMD web site. All I am trying to do is identify the speed of the this processor. Not being familiar with AMD's model line, I don't know what a 1200 equates to.

Information on chip: DHD1200AMT1B

From what I have been able to determine, this is an AMD DURON 1200 ... but I cannot locate any specifications for it.

Any guidance would be appreciated!

Hi Ed, and Welcome to the AMD Forum!

That's a Duron 1200, as you supected, and it's supposed to run at 12.0x 100/200 MHZ/FSB = 1200 MHz on 1.75 volts VCore.
It draws 54.7 watts at full output and supposedly has a maximum "Die" temperature of 90° Celsius

Personal experience tells me that in most applications (read motherboards), a Duron 1300 will start to crap out on you in the 53 to 55° Celsius range.
YMMV.

It's a 1.2GHz Duron 'Morgan'(model 7) - you can find the appropriate Datasheet here' ">http://www.amd.com/us-en/asset...nd_tech_docs/24310.pdf
