Need to know if a faster K6-2 is available for this board, or is another board needed, and if so, which one(s)? Have lots of upgrades in this old machine, and want to keep it if possible. I need at least 600 MHZ. Please advise.

well you should be able to get a decent oc outa this...for $17 you cant argue though

550MHz is the fastest K6-2, IIRC...a K6-3 would be nice if you can get hold of one(lower clockspeed, but on-die L2-cache - so your mobos' L2 will act as L3 )
dunno if your mobo will support that, tho

Yes, a K6/III would be the best option, or a K6/2 550
