My K62+ 550 reads the + at post. My K63+ 450 does not, although it shows on the chip itself and reads 2.0V. The 450+ also clocks to 577 stable. My concern is that the 450+ is remarked. Also, it doesn't seem that a regular K63 450, 2.4V would run at all at 2.1V, and 577 which I am running this one at. Anybody know? Thanks, Pike

Unlike their desktop-counterparts, the mobile K6-III+'s were using a 0.18µ process.
That's why they could run at such a low Vcore and reach higher clockspeeds that couldn't be achieved on the 0.25µ desktop-parts.

You definitely have a mobile K6-III+, not a desktop part. The reason why your BIOS recognizes the K6-2+ correctly while your K6-III+ appears to be recognized a K6-III is that it simply doesn't know a K6-III+ exists...a BIOS-update might fix this.

Asus P5A with latest beta bios, 5/12/2000. That makes sense. Thanks Greyhound. Pike
